- I find the Alfa Data Crystal excellent, except that the 3rd button is a
- bar exactly under one's wrist. If your wrist drops onto it, funny things
- happen like the action freezes. So I cut off the plastic peg that
- activates that switch.

- This modem is guaranteed for 2 years, or (I think) 300 Kilometers. Mine
- averages 1 Km per day (heavy usage) according to "Mousemeter", and my
- first one wore out in just over a year. What happens is that the metal
- rollers the ball sits on not only get dirty & need cleaning; but they
- also wear down. The plastic ball "laps" the brass rollers. These
- develop little ridges, and the ball slowly sinks until it rubs against
- the bottom of the case. But I still think it's a nice item, and most
- users won't do my kind of mileage :-) I could do without the red &
- green LEDs, and I'm thinking of disabling them.
